Anchalik Jana Kalyan Anusthan

     Anchalik Jana Kalyan Anusthan (AJKA) is a community based non profit, non-political and secular organization based in western Odisha. The organization was founded in 1998 and got its legal entity in the year 2000-2001 by registering under the society registration act XXI 1860.

     AJKA works in Jharsuguda district of Odisha state with underprivileged and marginalized people, women, children, adolesents and unemployed youth with a special emphasis to ST and SC. As a community based organization, AJKA works towords empowerment of the disadvantaged groups coupled with livelihood development, promotion of viable microenterprise, natural resource management, forest and biodiversity, agriculture and allied activities, addressing issues related to health, education, migration, trafficking including child labour, child rights and child protection. AJKA aspires to improve the living conditions to improve the living conditions of the poor and marginalized by adopting strategies through community initiative, participation and sensitization.

AJKA is committed to bring about positive changes in the quality of lives of the trial communications and deprived people. Income and employment generation is a continous process of bringing positive change in the socio-economic status of all community members, including the marginalized people integrating rights and entitlements through direct community participation.
